back to spain + inspiration

Back to Spain (or B2S) shares Spanish recipes, interviews with chefs, restaurateurs and other creative folks, plus my favorite Spanish restaurants. Me? I’m a New York girl and Grade A Spanophile who has lived in Madrid, Bilbao and Salamanca.

B2S began when I stopped being a lawyer in NYC and started being a culinary intern in Bilbao, Spain – the lesser known culinary gem of Basque Country. I weave stories from working in the kitchen of Michelin-starred restaurants (Mina and Nerua) and classes at the Basque Culinary Center into recipes, all of which are inspired by certain moments and experiences in my life.

As a wise man from Brooklyn once said, “You coulda been anywhere in the world, but you’re here with me – I appreciate that.” Eskerrik asko!
